Natasha Giggs, the sister-in-law of footballer Ryan Giggs, is among the latest batch of contestants to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house. After receiving a mixed reception from the crowd, the leggy brunette said: "I expected the boos, but thank you for the support."

Natasha hit the headlines last year when she claimed to have had an affair with the sportsman behind the backs of his wife and her husband. She joins shamed X Factor star Frankie Cocozza and ex- Natalie Cassidy in the new series of the Channel 5 show.Natalie was first into the house and was immediately given a secret task to perform. The actress had to wear a hidden earpiece and follow orders from Big Brother, which included kissing Frankie on the lips and telling him: "I do find younger men really attractive."

Also in the show is Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas, who surprised the sporting world in 2009 when he came out as gay. As he went into the house, Gareth admitted he could get angry if another contestant provoked him. "If people get in your face and they deserve a temper then it's there. I'm a redhead, I have a naturally fiery temper," he said. Actor Michael Madsen, who wore a shirt emblazoned with the US flag,

star Denise Welch and Irish model Georgia Salpa also made their entrances to the house. They are joined by singer Andrew Stone, Playboy models and twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, former star Romeo Dunn, page 3 girl Nicola McLean, and star Kirk Norcross.

Show presenter Brian Dowling, himself a former Big Brother winner, has said he could not wait for the new series to start. "Big Brother is still relevant and it remains the original reality television show. What you see on Big Brother is real, the situations are real, the drama is real and that's why people still want to watch," he said. And he warned the celebrities not to expect an easy time on the show, saying: "I want Big Brother to get tougher with them this year, the celebs had it way too easy last year."
