Kelly Ripa's former co-star speaks out following star's big change at work and personal life

The Live star has faced two big changes this week!

Kelly Ripa has had a whirlwind week - not only has she gained a new co-star on Live, but she's also getting used to working everyday alongside her husband, Mark Consuelos.

 The ABC host is mixing work with pleasure every morning, and has been supported in her new chapter by many of her famous friends. 

Her former co-star, Faith Ford, took to Instagram shortly after Kelly's first show with Mark aired on Monday, and wrote a supportive message to her screen sister.

She wrote: "Love, love, LOVED the show!! Literally [crying emoji] happy tears!! Char was incredible!!" 

ran for three seasons between 2003 and 2006 on ABC, and focused on the very different lives of two sisters.

Kelly's character Faith was an unemployed actress whose character on a soap opera had been killed off, resulting in her moving in with sister Hope and her family, whose lives were calm and organised until Faith's arrival. 

The sitcom also starred Megan Fox, who played Hope's daughter Hayley in the second and third series of the show, while Kelly's husband Mark had a starring guest role in it.

Faith has remained great friends with both Kelly and Mark since the show ended, and are often interacting on social media. 

Kelly and Mark have received support from many other famous friends, including David Muir, who likened their first show to a "full circle moment," given that they had met decades previously on the set of , and were now back working together. 

The couple had revealed to People ahead of their debut show together that their children were all keen for them to host together too, while their firstborn, Michael, 25, even expressed an interest in hosting himself!

"Michael talks about it constantly," Kelly said of their oldest child. "When we told the kids Mark was [co-hosting], Michael was like 'I would have been perfect for that!'".

 Kelly also confessed that Live! executive producer Michael Gelman's daughter Jamie "for years have said that they were going to take over," as daughter Lola, 21, also seemed keen.

As for Joaquin, 20, Mark said: "Joaquin's a little reserved. But he would turn it on. He's a drama student and he could turn it on for that hour, but I think he probably wouldn't want to do that." 

Kelly added: "He's done cooking segments on our show and I'm convinced the only reason he's done them is because he's a college student and he gets union [pay] scale. So that's a chunk of change for a college student!"
